Service Projects

Charity is very important to the MOMS Club®. In fact, there is a MOMS Club charity that helps MOMS Club members from all across the country. The MOTHER TO MOTHER FUND (M2M) is made up of funds donated from local chapters and is there to help members who are in crisis situations and in need of financial assistance. Should you (or another member) find yourself in this kind of a situation, please ask a board member to make a request to the M2M Fund!

Another reason that charity is important to the MOMS Club is that one of the purposes of our club is to undertake and complete at least one charitable, humanitarian, or social welfare project related to children each year. Please make a suggestion at a Business Meeting or let a board member know if you have an idea about a service project that you think our chapter might be able to contribute to.

The following are some examples of service projects we have done in the past.

We visit a local Senior Center to visit the residents. It lights up the seniors' faces when they see the children and it is very rewarding to bring them so much joy.
The chapter collected clothes and toys for a member who lost her house in a fire.
At a Red Cross Blood Drive, we not only donated blood, but we provided babysitting for any mom who wanted to donate.
After the 9/11 tragedy, we collected socks, gloves, boots, batteries, flashlights and other supplies for the rescue workers. Each playgroup also created Thank You Cards for the rescue workers.
We had a Discovery Toys Benefit that raised money for the Mother-to-Mother Fund.
During the Christmas season we collected canned goods for the local food pantry and collected outgrown winter clothing for homeless men, women and children.
We hold bake sales and yard sales with the proceeds going to a local food pantry or battered woman's shelter.
