The International MOMS Club® began in 1983 when Mary B. James, an at-home mother in California, decided she was tired of being alone at home. She wanted to meet other mothers and kids for her children, so she formed an organization for at-home mothers to support each other. The group she started in Simi Valley, California grew to be so successful, that she knew mothers in other areas of the country would benefit from a support network of friendships and camaraderie. She and her volunteers set out to create more chapters, and now the MOMS Club totals more than 1,500 chapters and 100,000 members (at-home moms, working moms, and dads) across the country.

If you are not from this area or would like to start your own chapter, visit the International MOMS Club website at for information.
